- Price. The Shopify app is listed as free. Garu's free tier is 25 try-ons a month.
- Footwear. A shoe recommender from foot shape and brand preferences. Garu is apparel.
- References. Intimissimi, Pucci, Roberto Cavalli, with case-study claims such as "5x more conversion". Garu has none published yet.
Where Garu is built differently
- Girth, not height and weight. Two shoppers of the same height and weight wear different sizes. Garu estimates chest, waist and inseam from the photo, which is what a garment is actually cut to.
- A render that shows fit. Front and back on every plan, and on Plus each size as its own garment.
- A reviewed listing. 5.0 stars from one review, live since May 2026, against a June 2026 listing with none yet. Both are young; that is the honest state.
The honest decision rule
If three questions and a free app are what your store needs, Sizebay is a reasonable place to start. If the size has to be right for the body and the shopper needs to see it, Garu does that from one photo.
