Fit Analytics alternatives (2027): what the Fit Finder does, and what it leaves out.

Fit Analytics sells an enterprise Fit Finder with no published price and no render. What it does well, what it leaves to the shopper, and how a photo-based try-on and sizing app compares.

Fit Analytics is the Berlin company behind the Fit Finder widget seen on large European and US fashion sites. Snap bought it in 2021 for about $124 million; after Snap wound down its enterprise AR unit, the management team reacquired the product and runs it independently under CEO Mar Mercadé. Garu is a Shopify app that estimates the shopper's measurements from a photo, matches them to your chart and renders the garment on them. Fit Analytics facts come from fitanalytics.com and its press releases on September 21, 2026.

We make Garu, so read accordingly. Where the other side is ahead, this page says so plainly.

The short answer

Choose Fit Analytics if you are an enterprise brand that wants a mature size recommender with sixteen years of data behind it, an API for bespoke journeys, and a vendor used to enterprise procurement. It cites 250-plus global partners and an Alpha Industries case with a 5.7% conversion increase.

Choose Garu if you run on Shopify, want the shopper to see the garment on their own body as well as get a size, and want to install it yourself at a published price. Fit Analytics does not offer virtual try-on and does not publish pricing or a Shopify App Store listing.

Where Fit Analytics is genuinely ahead

  • Track record. Sixteen years of fit data and 250-plus partners, against Garu's first year on the App Store.
  • Enterprise process. An API, a services team and reference customers for a procurement-led purchase.
  • Published averages. "4-6% Fit Finder average conversion rate increase" and "2-4% Fit Finder average return rate decrease" across its base. Garu does not publish averages yet.

Where Garu is built differently

  • The shopper sees it. Garu returns a render of the shopper wearing the garment, front and back, with the size. A fit finder returns the size.
  • Measurements from a photo, today. Rather than a questionnaire or profile, one full-length photo gives the chest, waist and inseam Garu matches to your chart.
  • Self-serve on Shopify. App embed, no theme code, free tier, price on the page.
  • Every size rendered on Plus. The between-sizes shopper sees both sizes on their own body.

The honest decision rule

If you are buying a size recommender for an enterprise site and want the longest track record in Europe, Fit Analytics is the reference vendor. If you want the size and the picture together, on Shopify, this week, that is Garu.

Questions merchants ask

What is an alternative to Fit Analytics?

For a Shopify store, Garu: it estimates measurements from one photo, matches them to your chart, and shows the shopper wearing the garment, front and back, with the size. It installs from the App Store and publishes its price.

Is Fit Analytics still owned by Snap?

No. Snap acquired it in 2021 for about $124 million and later closed its enterprise AR unit; the management team bought the company back and runs it independently.

Does Fit Analytics have a Shopify app?

No listing was found on the Shopify App Store on the date this page was checked. It integrates through its own scripts and an API.
