The difference is whether the shopper believes it.
A flat 2D swap is easy to build and easy to spot. The garment keeps the proportions of the product shot instead of the shopper's, the hem lands wherever the mask ended, and fabric that should fall reads as a sticker. Shoppers discount the image immediately, which means it changes no decisions and prevents no returns.
Garu renders instead of overlaying. The body is built from the shopper's height, weight and body type, and the garment is reconstructed on it with its fabric texture, drape, seams, hardware and colour preserved from your product photography. You get front and back, because the back of a garment is where fit is usually lost.
Photorealistic renders take about 10-15 seconds, and a full 360° rotation 20-30 - fast enough to stay inside the shopping journey rather than becoming an email you send later.
